Onward is a 2020 American computer-animated urban fantasy-adventure film produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The film is directed by Dan Scanlon, produced by Kori Rae and written by Scanlon, Jason Headley, and Keith Bunin. It is also the first Pixar film without any involvement from John Lasseter, who had departed from Disney following allegations of sexual misconduct against him. It stars the voices of Chris Pratt, Tom Holland, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Octavia Spencer. Set in a suburban fantasy world, the film follows two elf brothers who set out on a quest to find an artifact that will temporarily bring back their deceased father.
Plot
In a world inhabited by mythical creatures, magic was commonplace several millennia ago, though difficult to master. After technological advances over the centuries, magic became obsolete and was largely discarded.
In the modern day, two elf brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot, live in the city of New Mushroomton. Ian, the younger of the two, is a high-school student lacking self-confidence, and Barley is an enthusiastic, impulsive history and RPG fan. Their father Wilden died of a severe illness shortly before Ian was born, and their mother Laurel has a new boyfriend, centaur police officer Colt Bronco, whom Ian and Barley dislike.
On Ian's sixteenth birthday, Laurel gives her sons a gift from Wilden: a magical staff, a rare gem, and a letter describing a "visitation spell" that can resurrect their father for a single day. Ian accidentally succeeds in casting the spell, but only the lower half of Wilden's body is reformed before the gem disintegrates. The brothers embark on a quest to acquire another gem and complete the spell, taking Barley's beloved van "Guinevere". Finding the boys gone, Laurel leaves to find them.
Ian and Barley visit the Manticore's Tavern, named for a monster possessing a map to the gem. The tavern has become a family restaurant managed by the Manticore ("Corey" for short). While arguing with Ian over the map, Corey realizes how boring her life has become and drives the customers away in a fit of rage, accidentally setting fire to the restaurant and the map. The brothers' only clue to the gem is a children's menu suggesting "Raven's Point", a nearby mountain. Laurel later arrives at the scene and befriends Corey, who agrees to help her. Corey warns Laurel that the brothers' journey may awaken a curse that can only be defeated by her sword, which she and Laurel steal from a pawn shop.
Traveling to the mountains, Ian and Barley narrowly escape the police and a motorcycle gang of pixies,[7] relying on Ian's newly awakened spell-casting abilities and Barley's RPG instincts. "Raven's Point" leads them on a trail indicated by a series of raven statues, but Colt follows them, calling in reinforcements. After coming to a dead end, Barley sacrifices Guinevere to cause a landslide, blocking their pursuers. Following the statues, the brothers descend through a cave and avoid a series of traps and deadly creatures, during which Barley reveals to Ian that he was unable to emotionally bring himself to say goodbye to Wilden when he was dying in the hospital. The final obstacle sends them back to the surface, where they find themselves in front of Ian's high school. Infuriated at Barley's advice, Ian explodes at him for leading them on a wild goose chase and walks away with Wilden.
Rereading his list of things he always wished to do with Wilden, Ian realizes that Barley has been a father figure throughout his entire life, and returns to make amends. Barley discovers the needed gem inside a historic fountain across the street from high school and retrieves it, unwittingly triggering the curse Corey spoke of, which creates a dragon-shaped golem out of pieces of the school and other nearby objects, bent on claiming the gem. Ian's staff is knocked into the ocean during a battle with the golem, but he reforms it from a splinter embedded in his hand and continues the fight. Corey flies in carrying Laurel, who plunges the magic sword into the golem heart, buying Ian time to cast the visitation spell and fully reform Wilden's body. Ian sends Barley ahead to finally give his proper goodbye to Wilden, and holds off the golem long enough for Laurel to destroy it. After Wilden dissipates, Barley tells Ian that their father is proud of him, and the brothers share a hug.
Some time later, Ian's confidence and spell-casting have improved and he surprises Barley by painting his new van, christened "Guinevere The Second". Corey reopens her tavern in its original spirit, drawing in customers with tales of past adventures. She and Laurel become friends, and Ian and Barley develop a better relationship with Colt. As the world begins to rediscover the magical arts of the past, the brothers set off on a new quest.

Lawsuit
In January 2020, San Francisco tattoo artist Sweet Cecily Daniher filed a copyright lawsuit against Disney, Pixar, and Onward producer Kori Rae. In September 2018, Pixar rented Daniher's "Vanicorn," a van decorated with a unicorn-themed mural, for use in a one-day festival. She learned about the production of Onward in May 2019 and, after seeing images of the van used by Ian and Barley Lightfoot in the film, came to believe that Pixar had copied the design of the Vanicorn in violation of her rental agreement with the company, as well as the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, the Visual Artists Rights Act, and the California Artists Protection Act. She sought in her suit to prohibit distribution of the film and any infringing advertisement or merchandise.
The Movie Girl say's: Well I would happily give this movie a good recommendation to anyone that is looking for a good kids movie that was ranked 7th highest grossing movie so far in the world. Now I would also like to give this movie a 43/4* out of 5* only cause I believe they could've done a little more with the story line. Also with the Lawsuit that was filled it makes me wonder what else thay have done that other people own but no biggie it was still a great movie.

The film set several streaming records including becoming Universal's most successful day-one rental. Its success led to Universal announcing that they would be looking into doing more simultaneous theatrical and streaming releases and in response, several theater chains, including AMC Theatres, announced they would no longer distribute the studio's films; it eventually resulted in the theatrical window of films being shortened.
Plot
A tribe of Techno Trolls is attacked by Barb, the queen of the Hard Rock Trolls, in the midst of an underwater DJ concert. In order to protect his tribe, King Trollex reluctantly agrees to give Barb the Techno string.
Meanwhile, Poppy, the queen of the Pop Trolls, receives an invitation from Barb that summons all six Troll tribes to a party for them to reunite their music. Poppy’s father, King Peppy, explains to her that each tribe is represented by a different type of music: those being Pop, Funk, Classical, Techno, Country, and Rock, and each tribe has a magical string kept by their leader that powers their specific kind of music. However, Barb intends to steal the other five strings and use all six to destroy all other music to unite the trolls under rock music.
Poppy takes their tribe's string and goes on a mission to unite the other trolls, bringing along Branch, who is seeking to express his feelings towards her, and Biggie, a stowaway who was tempted by cotton candy. En route to Volcano Rock City, the trio arrive in Symphonyville, the home of the Classical Trolls, which is in ruins. A small flute named Pennywhistle tells Poppy about Barb's attack and theft of the Classical String, causing Poppy to change her plan to unite the Trolls against Barb. The trio then winds up in Lonesome Flats, the home of the Country Trolls. After hearing how despondent and downbeat their music is, they try to cheer them up with a pop medley, but this offends the Country Trolls (including their leader, Delta Dawn) and they wind up in jail. Hickory, a smooth-talking Country troll, comes to their rescue while the Country pack gives chase and builds them a raft to take them to the Funk Trolls in Vibe City. On the way, they encounter Chaz, a smooth jazz bounty hunter sent by Barb to capture Poppy and her string in favor of saving his music, prompting Biggie to leave.
Meanwhile, Cooper, a troll resembling a giraffe, discovers that there are more trolls out there just like him. He embarks on a quest to find them, but after a series of crazy events, he passes out, alone in the desert, until a spaceship beams him up, where it is revealed that Cooper is one of the princes of the Funk Trolls who had been snatched as an egg and raised by the pop tribe.
The group then gets abducted by the same spaceship Cooper got sucked up into. Inside, they meet the Funk trolls, who tell Poppy that the it was the Pop Trolls who tried to unite the others under their music, forcing each tribe to take their string and divide themselves. King Quincy and Queen Essence tell Poppy that differences do matter, and that trying to make all trolls the same doesn't help the problem. The Rock Trolls hijack the ship and steal the Funk String, causing the Funk trolls to eject the group with magical soap bubbles. Branch gets captured by K-Pop and Reggaeton Trolls (but are later reformed), and the Pop String gets taken by Hickory, who was secretly a Yodeler troll, with his brother Dickory stowing away in his hind legs. Meanwhile, after seeing Pop Village in shambles by the Rock Trolls, the snack pack go to save Poppy and Branch after a pep talk from Biggie.
Barb has Poppy imprisoned over a large concert stage where all the captured Trolls are the audience. She uses her guitar with all six strings to turn all the other troll leaders and Branch into Rock zombies. Poppy is seemingly transformed but is revealed to have been wearing makeshift earplugs out of gumdrops, a move she learned earlier from Hickory when they encountered Chaz. Poppy admonishes Barb for being a poor queen by forcing her views on everyone and not taking time to listen to her people, before she smashes the guitar. While it snaps the possessed trolls out of their rock zombie state, it destroys the strings, thus ending the flow of music and taking the trolls’ colors with it. Foiled, Barb blames Poppy for destroying music and ruining everything.
Cooper then hears his heartbeat as he uses a microphone and Prince D creates a rhythmic beat with it, inspiring other trolls to join in the rhythm with their different forms of sound-making which revives the power of their music, while Poppy encourages everyone to sing together as their colors are restored. Realizing how important other forms of music are and encouraged by her father Thrash, the repentant Barb joins in, regaining her colors, and eagerly accepts Poppy's offer of friendship. Branch finally confesses his love to Poppy, who gladly reciprocates his feelings.
While back at Pop Village, everyone performs together, and all Trolls are finally reunited while celebrating their differences. In a mid-credits scene, Bridget and King Gristle arrive wondering what they missed.

Scoob! is a 2020 American computer-animated comedy mystery film produced by Warner Animation Group and based on the Scooby-Doo franchise.[3][4] The film is directed by Tony Cervone from a screenplay by Adam Sztykiel, Jack Donaldson, Derek Elliott, and Matt Lieberman, and a story by Lieberman, Eyal Podell, and Jonathon E. Stewart. It stars the voices of Frank Welker as the titular character (the only member of the original cast to reprise one's role), as well as Will Forte, Gina Rodriguez, Zac Efron, and Amanda Seyfried as Shaggy, Velma, Fred and Daphne respectively, with Mark Wahlberg, Jason Isaacs, Kiersey Clemons, Ken Jeong and Tracy Morgan as other Hanna-Barbera animated characters. It is a reboot of the Scooby-Doo film series, and is intended to be the first installment in a series of films set within a Hanna-Barbera shared cinematic universe. The film's plot follows Mystery Inc. as they join forces with Blue Falcon and Dynomutt to stop Dick Dastardly's plot to open the gates of the Greek Underworld resulting in the unleash of Cerberus.
Plot
A young Shaggy Rogers befriends and adopts a talking stray dog, whom he names Scooby Dooby-Doo. On Halloween night, Scooby-Doo and Shaggy meet three young detectives named Fred Jones, Daphne Blake, and Velma Dinkley before venturing into a haunted house. After the kids encounter a ghost, whom they capture and unmask as costumed thief Mr. Rigby, they become inspired to solve mysteries together as they all decide to befriend and join forces with each other to form Mystery Inc., as Scooby-Doo and Shaggy also agree to join.
Ten years later, Mystery Inc. goes into business with entrepreneur Simon Cowell as their investor, but Shaggy and Scooby are excluded as Cowell refuses to do business with them; claiming that friendship is useless as they are to be involved in Mystery Inc. since they are judged in failing to live up to what forms a successful team altogether. Later that night, Shaggy and Scooby are attacked at a bowling alley and chased after by small robots called Rottens, though they are rescued by Dee Dee Skyes, Dynomutt, and the Blue Falcon. They reveal that the Rottens belong to super criminal Dick Dastardly, who wants to capture Scooby for personal gain as part of a plan involving the mystery behind the three skulls of Cerberus.
Meanwhile, Fred, Daphne, and Velma discover that Shaggy and Scooby are with Blue Falcon before Dastardly captures them. They later escape with the help of a vacuum-headed Rotten and make contact with Dee Dee via Dynomutt. Velma explains that she and the others are being taken to Messick Mountain, where the last skull is located. After they discover Dastardly's plan to open the gates to the Underworld, Dastardly captures them again after revealing that his plan is that he wants to rescue his dog Muttley after he became trapped inside the Underworld during an attempt to steal the Underworld's riches. It is revealed that he needs Scooby-Doo because only he can unlock the gates to the Greek Underworld so that he can steal the treasure from the Underworld.
Blue Falcon, Scooby, Dee Dee, and Dynomutt arrive at Messick Mountain and head underground until they reach a hidden Mesozoic island. They find the last skull being guarded by Captain Caveman. Following a short battle, Fred and Shaggy arrive, but Fred is revealed to be Dastardly in disguise as he steals the last skull. His robots throw the real Fred, Daphne, and Velma out of his airship and destroys the Falcon Fury before capturing Scooby and taking him to Athens. Fred and Blue Falcon argue while Velma, Daphne, Dee Dee, and Dynomutt try to break them up, but Shaggy stops their argument and takes the blame for Scooby's capture after letting his jealousy strain their friendship. After giving an inspiring speech, everyone works together to reconstruct the Mystery Machine.
Arriving in Athens, Dastardly uses the three skulls to reveal the gate and attempts to use Scooby's paw to open it, only to be interrupted by Scooby's friends in a flying Mystery Machine. The Rottens shoot them down while Dastardly releases Cerberus; unaware that Dynomutt landed them safely. As he, Dastardly, and the civilians flee from the rampaging Cerberus, Scooby runs to the crash site and reunites with Mystery Inc. while Dastardly reunites with Muttley in the Underworld and they escape with by stealing some of Alexander the Great's treasure. While everyone is coming with a trap to distract Cerberus, Velma discovers more of the mystery behind Scooby's ancestry and its connection to the Underworld, including that in order to lock the gate, someone with a close connection to their dog must close it from the other side. With help from the Rottens, they trap Cerberus and get him back through the gate while Shaggy sacrifices himself to lock it. The gang realize that there is another exit, which Scooby unlocks, and Shaggy is reunited with them. The Rottens turn on Dastardly and Muttley, who are arrested and taken into custody.
Back home at Venice Beach, the gang unveil their new Mystery Inc. headquarters and celebrate with Blue Falcon, Dynomutt, and Dee Dee, who in turn give the gang an upgraded Mystery Machine before Mystery Inc. get called away on another case.
